SKA ISLAND

La disquera ISLAND festeja 50 años de su nacimiento, pero muchos de nosotros desconocemos tal sello.
Este sello es conocido por haber prestado su estudio a agrupaciones mundialmente conocidas, las cuales, recorren desde el POP, ROCK, JAZZ y casi todos los generos musicales por existir, Tambien grabó a The Skatalites, Millie Small, The Toasters (estos ultimos, en algunas participaciones con otros grupos) , y algunos otros exponentes del SKA, ROCKSTEADY y R&B. En 1997 crea este acoplado llamado SKA ISLAND en el cual recopiló algunas de las muchas canciones de ska que fueron grabadas en este anonimo sello musical. Es un disco casi imposible de conseguir ya que solo se lanzaron al mercado 200 ejemplares de los cuales la mayoria se encuentran en Japón, tal fue el gusto de los japoneses por este album, que ska island lanzó una segunda edición la cual es casi igual, solo se diferencía a la primera por algunas canciones de grupos japoneses que fueron incluidas a la segunda versión.
